Hi people,
Here I played with getting a city across a waterfall. I would love to hear what you think.

Ola,
Today I continued adding map icons. I would love to hear what you think about it.

Stunning use of color! Some of the line work needs improvement as the scale of some objects don't quite work. They almost work flawlessly.

Yeah, those colors are absolutely wild! Obviously, you're not recreating a satellite map, here, nor doing the usual reproduce-historic-appearing-maps thing. So it definitely looks gamey, but it is visually stunning.
And the baobabs are a nice touch...
The area of blue rocks and the Fog Eerie Plains looks like night though, rather than just a different color scheme. That jars a bit, but maybe that's what you're going for: a sort of Mordor-ish vibe, "The Shadow in the East," etc. If so, I'd say that you were successful. If, for instance, one were making a Ravenloft map I'd say to do the entire thing in a style similar to that.
I really can't say enough good things, and I usually only post (constructive) criticisms, despite being no sort of artist at all myself. It's quite original and different than most of what one sees here. I mean, yes, various elements are sort of standard, like the shape of the trees and whatnot, but taken as a whole it looks very new to me and it's mostly the coloration that does it.

Thank you so much. It means a lot to me.
I was going for my own style here. So, I am very happy to hear that it looks that way for you.
The name of Fog Eerie Plains already gives the vibe. And the region around is actually the mountains consisting of a blue rock, hence the Blue Rock Spires. It does create that feeling of night, maybe. So it is what is. That said, it is definitely a weird place full of scary stuff, so it suits my needs regardless and I'm happy with it. EDIT: Besides, I am going to make a Night Version of this map anyway, just check on one of the previous pages. Then this doesn't really seem too dark anymore.
Glad you liked the Boabs!
P.S. You mentioning Ravenloft, any chance you play DnD or the like? If so, I was wondering if this world intrigues you as a player. I was thinking of maybe eventually making it available for those purposes.

Hiya!
Today I wanted to add a Angler fish Sea monster to the ocean. Let me know what you think.

Those location illustrations are pretty nice. I really like those trees as well, must have taken you a while to hand render them all, but they turned out very nicely. The angler fish is a bit difficult to see, but perhaps that was the intention. This is looking very nice!
Cheers,

Ah, Thanks. Appreciate it.
Yeah, I wanted individual trees, especially since I put such focus on a special type of trees in my stories.
And the Angler fish being, dark... Well, it is the Dark Sea, and just adding it in, it was too bright. So, I toned it down a tad. Maybe a bit much in the end.
Anyway, here is the Angler without blending it in with the Ocean.
