Decided it was not enough "on the verge of destruction" for me, so I added clouds and lightning coming from EVERYWHERE. Started coloring the borders (soooo long).
Will use that dark space for map info.

Well, getting married the day after tomorrow and leaving for Nova Scotia for a week afterwards : I won't finish this map in time for the end of the contest :/ Why do I feel like this is a pattern? I think my ambitions were too big for what I really had time to do!

Your map looks sufficiently well done that most of us would consider it finished.
