I think you got the colors to work nicely. I like a lot of the little details. The one thing that I would criticize are the rivers. I think that they are excessively tapered considering that they are outflows of, in some cases quite large, lakes, and have no visible tributaries that would suggest that they would grow significantly on their way to the sea. Oh, and I just noticed the "Seter Dessert"; I'm assuming you mean "Desert". I like the border. It provides a bit of framing without distracting from the map.

And yes, I should fix that typo, I meant "Desert" XD.
As for the rivers, I'll make sure to make them better in future maps.
