My first Challenge entry; I had this idea and had to give it a go. Massively inspired by all the maps on here that do a bit of storytelling and based this on the neo-Babylonian map of the world. I hope this fits the context of the challenge.

Thanks Bogie. I was doing it late last night and obviously forgot the important bit!

That's a very cool concept and I love the way you've designed it. Is this final or do you plan on adding more to the map part?
Thanks Aeshnidae. Final...maybe... I wanted to add some desert encroaching in but I could not find a pattern or symbol that worked without overly complicating or crowding what I had. I am learning that sometimes stopping a map can be as hard as any other decision in the process
There's still time for me to change my mind though I just need the right inspiration to hit!

Oh ! I love the Babylonian feel ! Great idea !
What a unique idea. I love the style, and I totally know what you mean about how hard it is to know when to say when. I think the sparse feel really lends itself well to the story you're telling.
