    The trees are done by hand, but at this scale I can get away (or at least I think I can! ) with duplicating them quite a bit after I've drawn the first 200-300 or so. I do usually end up thickening the forests quite a bit once I've gotten them laid out, so yeah, each tree is definitely placed individually even if they aren't all drawn so. I'll just pick out a tree or two and start adding them to places that look too thin. It can get pretty tedious, but this is by far my favorite type of forest to make.

    Yeah, that's cool! And you can definitely get away with duplicating them especially when they overlap a lot. It's such an awesome style and they have such a nice effect altogether! Definitely worth all of the effort!
