Many thanks everyone for the heartwarming feedback! I appreciate it a lot.
I'm not sure if it was a good idea to color the frame of this piece. Well, hindsight is 2020 , and that's the thrill of using an unforgiving medium like watercolor, isn't it?

I have to leave it in this state, since I won't be at home until next year and I don't have the piece itself with me (just this last picture of it).

Best of luck to everyone in the challenge! I won't be able to make all of the comments on the other entries I'd like, since I have to type on my friend's smartphone and i hate it
    See you all in 2020!

    Cheers,
    AL

It came out great! I actually really like the border with colour, but I do agree that it looked nice when it wasn't yet coloured as well. But like you said, suppose that is the adventure of non-digital media! In any case, a great piece. I love that typography too.

Happy New Year to you, mate. I look forward to seeing you around in 2020 -- don't be a stranger, yeah?
    Cheers

I really love the mountains you drew here! The water color looks great too, I know how scary it can be to put down watercolor on a piece... i've had it not work out...

I'd have preferred a white background but the color gives it an organic feel that's interesting. The map is gorgeous anyways
