    Wip A Work in Progress

Hello, Here is my work in progress. I struggle with mountains and I can't quite seem to grasp it. Any thoughts on how to improve? Eventually the map will be colored and shaded. Untitled-1.jpg

I really like your coastline shape its very interesting. Mountains are one of my favorite things to draw, I would encourage you to find different mountain styles that you really like and try out a few different techniques to find what work for you. I do think that for this map your mountains are a bit to big which is one reason why it looks a off scale. I would also change up the shape of the mountains more so that they all don't looks so similar. Are you working on an art tablet?

I think I fixed it, made the mountains a bit smaller and tried to vary their sizes.Untitled-1.jpg

Added rivers, settlements and major forests. On the eastern island, should I forest the whole thing or leave as is?Untitled-1.jpg

This is nice. The one thing I would suggest in the future is to mix things up in the forests a bit. In several places, the forest trees are in such neat rows that they look like orchards, which I don't think was you intent.

Yeah I agree. I also don't like the mountains, they are too smooth. I ended up finishing it, but I learned a lot for my next one.Twin Seas.jpg
