    Default Oileán an Fhómhair

Welcome to Oileán an Fhómhair (The Autumn Isle) - a smalll little island commune off the maps somewhere north of Ireland. I'm running my first Call of Cthulhu campaign soon and, being me, I don't like modules and much prefer crafting my own scenarios. Which obviously includes making a map.
Most of the people on the island are escaping something, be it crimes or abuse or some other situation and have found refuge here. I don't want to give up too much in case my players stumble across this but there is something else that dwells on this island that protects and watches over them.

Absolutely beautiful penmanship. Great linework and texture. I'm not a huge fan of the horizontal lines on the water. They do give the isle an otherworldy feel, though, kind of like it's not in the middle of an ocean at all but just floating in its own little private reality, which could maybe be good for the setting? But purely from a visual perspective, they look a bit too dominant to me.

Thanks. Yeah I really do need to settle on a better way to do coasts in this style. I'll maybe have a go at redoing them soon but I do need to finish writing the actual campaign first...

I agree with Kell about the coastal lines, but apart from that minor thing (it's not that dominant when zoom out), it's splendid work!
I particularly love your technique with the cliffs.

Agree with my predecessors. The lineart is splendid. Whole island looks fabulous, but the waves kind of mess up the final result. Probably the waves following the coastline would look much better.

It makes it look as though it's floating in an otherworldly dimension. There is nothing wrong with trying something different. :<
