I like how, although there is not real concrete border to this map, the oyster (with the pearl as a separate map is really cool!), water surface, and other vegetation frame the map. I comes out really well!
So, time for the next map from my backlog, and just like the last one, this is going to sit in black and white for a long time, until I eventually get round to colouring it...
This is the underwater city of Keretara: I imagine it to be the capital of a far-flung colony of the empire of the mer-people (culturally, think of traditional Hawaii or Polynesia). Those mountains (ocean trenches?) you see in the background represent as far as civilisation and exploration have reached. And the mer swear they have seen large shapes lumbering through those murky depths...
This map began during the June 2019 challenge, but suffice to say I did not finish it in that month I finally got round to finishing the linework during my 2019 Mapvember challenge, and I gotta say: it was a lot of fun to make, but also posed some pretty serious new challenges. I really enjoyed drawing all the coral along the edges Also, while I have no particular idea when I'll colour this map, it may be sooner than the others, as I'm itching to make a heavily blue and black colour scheme
As always, kind words are welcome, unkind words are less welcome, and comments and critiques are always appreciated

The line work is gorgeous!
The line art is absolutely incredible. I love it, and I especially love the oyster with the globe in its mouth.
It's pretty neat, hope you color it someday.
