    Post Hello! Cartography newbie here

    Hello!

My name is Pedro, but I sign as Lop. I'm an illustrator/cartoonist proficient with Procreate and Photoshop, and I'm taking my first steps into cartography.
I've made some maps in the past for D&D and other games and fun stuff, but it's the first time I'm actually trying to make them properly. I never expected it to be this interesting. A lot goes into this, way more than I thought, and I have newfound respect for all cartographers and their craft.

A few days ago I started drawing my first "proper" map, and while there's still a lot to do I'm happy with the result so far. I've attached a little sneak peek.

    Nice meeting all of you.

I love your style, is it all done digitally?

Thank you so much! And yes, it was done on an Ipad with procreate.

Fascinating. I prefer hand drawn myself, but I'll never get lines that clean XD

I appreciate the feel that it would be an actual map that you would find.

I'll be interested to see how you develop with it further.

Thank you! I finished it today actually, you can find it on the regional maps forum.

Welcome to the Guild Pedro/Lop! I really like the illustrated style of your map, and it's always nice to see a fellow Procreate user . I'm definitely looking forward to seeing more of your work

    All the best!
