Jan/Feb '21 Lite Challenge: Wealdwell Island

For the challenge this month I decided to map an island with a very interesting waterfront. This island was one of my planned locations for a larger map set that I'm working on and it happened to work quite well with this months theme. I have also just finished my Isometric map of Hollace which I really enjoyed so I will be doing this map as an isometric as well, although it will be at a smaller scale so I can detail the buildings and other elements more.

The island is situated on a lake and is inhabited by the "King of the long lake" who is really just a glorified pirate. The king does not allow anyone else to build on his island so a small village to support his fleet and sailors has sprung up in the shallows next to the island.

Holy cow that is amazing. Your linework never fails to impress me. I take it that your drew everything in pencil, erased, and then started in pen (which would be why the ghost lines for the non-inked stuff is still there)?

Yeah, that's pretty much what I did Arimel, although I ink in before erasing so in the last update I hadn't yet done any erasing of the pencil lines. If you look very closely at the previous image you can still see some of the construction lines in the inked in sections.

Here is the latest update. The inking in is now finished and I've gone back over the image and erased the pencil construction lines.
