Jan/Feb '21 Lite Challenge: Iles Bay

I did a 3D render for the base art and then I couldn't make up my mind so now there's multiple angles of the island/bay. You can't place other forms of 3D objects in World Creator besides land stuff so I have yet to actually draw in the docks and things... but basically, this is an island inhabited by fisher folk who don't have a very organized central city or anything because it's fairly walkable / lots of people have portal magic, and each of the labels represents where a person's house/dock/boat is supposed to be if I actually get to drawing those in.

I don't know if the labels will stay, I just drew them in so I knew more or less where I was going to place each family's home and dock, and then the cities on the mainland.

Grandpappy Seamus is lord of the hill and calls the shots around here.

Then I added the planet view for funsies, for scale.

I don't know if I'll cull it down, we'll see how it goes. This is just kind of the 'underlay' for what I hope to do to fill it in.

For bonus fun, the first draft, but I didn't like how my panorama came out so I went in a different direction, changed the lighting up, and well, you saw how it went.

When I saw the purple my 1st thought was "wow that is a LOT of purple!" .. but it has grown on me since the 1st time I saw it. looks great.
I love how the purple and the texture/fading treatment softens the 3D render and makes it feel more dreamy and less 'digital'
