Good point, I hadn't really noticed myself but that's the problem with looking at your own work, do it for too long and you see what you intended to draw rather than what is actually on the page. While Bob the benevolent beholder does sound like a lot of fun he was intended to be the villain so I added some furrows above his eye which hopefully do the trick to make him look a bit more menacing.
Here is the latest update anyway, I've started the colouring process.

That looks great colored! The frowns help a bit.

Great job. The isometric view is really nicely done.
Will you let Bob, as Arimel named him, be white?
I may have inadvertently named the beholder... oops.
This looks amazing! Another great challenge entry!
Thanks Bogie. I'm glad the frown helped, with the point I was at with the inking there wasn't much more that could be done really.
Hi Andarr, yes I was planning on leaving him white. He is part of the border detail and when I've done caricatures like this in the past I've coloured them the same as the border, as I've chosen to use the same colour for the background and the border this maybe isn't as clear as it could be though.
Hi Arimel, yip the name does seem to have stuck. I am quite pleased with how the map has turned out though, I haven't really done an encounter map like this before.

Great job Wminish, the only critics is that to me the section of the house right below bob at first seems an extension of the hill, like an underground building.
I like the perspective, maybe I will try to do some map like this.
