Hey Bjoern, welcome to the guild.
If it's dungeon design you're after, I suggest the 5 room dungeon concept, it's really great for story construction as an approach to designing.

Hello Cartographer Guild!
I am a new member from Germany. I've been DMing tabletop games since the mid 90s with a long break in between. My joy of playing has been rekindled this year, but now with family and work I find myself with a lot less time on my hands. As much as I like fiddling with tools to draw maps and dungeons, the results are often not what I wanted and I get comments from my players like "This makes no sense geologically!" (Yes, my players grew up too).
I am hoping to get some inspiration and tipps on how to make my maps more realistic (layout/wise, not graphically), as well as the map making process more efficient (I am German after all).
So long and thanks for running a place like this!

Welcome to the Guild! Always glad to have more people along for the ride. I'm more of a regional mapper myself, but have been meaning to try my hand at dungeon design for a while now. Plenty of folk here more experienced with that kind of thing though!
Oh, and Adfor, thank you for that link, I'll definitely need to bookmark that!
Welcome to the Guild, I'm glad you decided to join us. There's definitely a lot of talented artists and worldbuilders around here so don't hesitate to share and ask questions. This is a great community where everyone is happy to share.
