Thread: ***March 2021 Challenge Voting - Space Invaders!***

Default ***March 2021 Challenge Voting - Space Invaders!***

Well the invasion came and went. It's nice to see that some of our kind made it out alive to chronicle the affair. If you happen to be one of lucky survivors and are just now tuning in, last month's challenge was to map a space invasion. There were many creative takes on this and now it is your job to select a winner. The map(s) with the most amount of votes will take home a shiny new golden compass (that is, unless the aliens steal it to fuel their ships). The voting booths will be open for three days. Good nigth and good luck.

Sorry, Arsheesh, quick question...exactly how soon does voting close? I may or may not have procrastinated and may or may not have to post my map later as a separate post. And to clarify, one cannot vote for one's own map, correct?

This poll will close on the 4th (in tiny print at the top of the poll statistics) and you'll probably have to post any updates in another non-challenge thread since the challenge threads are now locked.

Well done to all who submitted. A real creative and diverse selection of maps.

A lot of work meeting the deadline, but I personally made some real breakthroughs, especially with my use of colour and flexed some illustrative muscles I've not got using for a while. Thank you for the challenge theme Arsheesh, you paint a good picture with your words as well.

As a rule, I would never vote for my own.

The work threads are closed, so what you have now is what gets voted on. As for the voting itself, yes, you can indeed vote for your own map, though opinions here differ on whether you should. I generally do vote for my own maps, for example, but I equally give my votes to those that I think have done a great job themselves.

Congrats Joseph, I was really hoping you'd win, what an authentic map you created.

All the entries had their weight in merit, nice work!
