Map Vale of Tears - Finished

OK - For those of you familiar with Glen Cook's Chronicles of the Black Company this is my take of the Barrowland, the Dominator, and the Ten Who Were Taken.

Originally sketched on the back of a calendar in pencil, it was developed in Photoshop using textures from CGTextures & Spiral Graphics and a few downloads from the Dundjinni user forums. I primarily use multiple colored layers and textures to create my terrain. For example the walls of the vale are 4 different layers with varying layer effects, colors and textures overlayed on them.

As always I would like to thank those that contributed comments, suggestions, critiques, ideas, etc. in the WIP thread for this. This would never have been as good without their contribution.

I have included two versions of the map, with and without labels, I have also attached a short .PDF with some basic background info.

    Enjoy!!

Nice job! I see you replaced the guard towers on the sides, nice choice!

Thanks, yeah after you mentioned them yesterday I thought it would be a good idea to switch them.

As always, an excellent map, SG.

Has a very nice 3D look. Kind of reminds me of some of the maps from D&D 3E modules. Definitely Like the Colossi on the side.
