OSM > .mp (polish format) experts here?

Hello, I'm trying to figure out something.

When exporting from OSM to .mp (polish format) via osm2mp, the objects (polylines, polygons and points) are not linked to the area anymore.

What makes the map unroutable after exporting to 7Ways format.

Question Number 1: Is there are any solution to auto-link all objects to the nearest road using some soft like GPSMapEdit and how?

Secondly, there is a huge number of duplicated lines - streets on top of the others, what creates a bunch of false intersections.

Number 2: Is there any soft, that helps get rid of duplicated roads?

Hi GPSx7 and welcome to the guild.

Your question is mighty technical. I have had to look up what this converter does and wondered about the Polish Format which appears to be a type of vector format for Open Street Maps.

The file you have listed is a Perl file - hence the slightly confusing in this instance post fix of .pl - and we do a little Perl around here. At least a couple of us use Perl for sure. But I have not used this script in particular to convert OSM data to this vector format.

So for now, whilst I might be able to look at the perl file and determine what its doing I don't really know what the issues are and what needs to be done to fix it. So if anyone else here knows about the process being discussed maybe they can add some more detail to the problem.

There appears to be a wiki for this application but only in Russian. So if anybody who is Russian can work out if you need some command line switch to make these issues fixed then post below.

Thanks for trying to help. The problem I'm facing is after all the exports the map can't be used for navigation as all the objects are unlinked from roads. Besides they appear to be a bunch of overlaid "extra streets", one above the other. And it's a pretty big map for messing with all this errors manually.
