Love it! Can't wait to see the rest!
I'm pretty excited for this challenge (especially since it was my suggestion ). I am going to be mapping a neighborhood which has become very special to me and a new home over the past few years: Adams Morgan neighborhood in Washington D.C. Here's my very rough first WIP after messing around with QGIS for a bit. This will be a base which I work from, but still very much subject to a lot of change.

Thank you both!
Here's my next update, showing the neighborhood outline and fading out the edges, as well as a map of where it is located in the city. Next up decorative elements, then I'll work on some details and labels.

Here is my latest WIP, with added decorative elements depicting the famous 18th St corridor, as well as some of the more famous murals and street art in the neighborhood (I'll include more info in my final WIP post). I still need to add map labels, but getting close to finished.
