Map Jun/July/Aug 2022 Lite Challenge Entry: The Siege of Azcalo

The Siege of Azcalo is a detailed account of a battle situated on Inov, a terrastrial moon of the planet Epra.

I haven't named the colonies yet in my world building, but i thought it would help to visualise some type of battle as a starting point of the colonial wars that took place on this moon. I will keep adding to the lore as i go along.

    Hope you enjoy it

Love it. The gray troops holding that isthmus, reminds me of the Spartans that held off the Persian Empire.

Bogie - thanks for your kind words! appreciate it

Inky - )) actually its a render of mars i used, im using it as a reference to flesh out the moon of Inov

Elder - yes exactly! im really in love with the wars in those centuries (i really would love to draw inspiration from them into my world, but a little tricky with higher tech formations and weaponry)

Hmm... Dripping blood as part of the title, oceans/sea on a seemingly lunar surface, and war. Sounds like a sci-fi story I might have to check out. Clean work, but could maybe rough up those coastal regions (at least I am assuming they are coastal) and maybe match them up to the terrain a little better. But I may be not picking here.

Great book cover, Kaiju! I especially like how you've done the title, and with the quote at the bottom, it looks like a good trilogy. Tagging off Greason Wolfe's comment, you may want to consider some coast lines or other water lines; the contrast between the background and water is very stark when zoomed in (it's definitely not as noticeable when zoomed out).

thanks for the motivating comments eveyrone. I made some updates. tried to add coastal lines, but i really need to install photoshop. Ive kept this as a full SVG so its pretty hard to do the finer vexel stuff on it using this software, and rather not spend anymore time on it on the next one for sure! (ive got a few good ideas)

Nice final product! And I agree, things are so much easier with Photoshop installed!
