Lite Mapping Challenges

I’m new so I have no idea what the challenges are like, but maybe we can help? By giving ideas or something? No idea if that could work, haha. But figured I’d offer since it seems only one person is in charge of it, and if they need a break they should absolutely get that break :3

The challenges are fun if you can spare the time for them or that the challenge for the month fits into what you might have wanted to do anyway. Its a fun little task to make a map based on some outline with a time limit of a month or two. Because several people are making the same map then its interesting to see how different they all are and the competitiveness of it means you have to complete it in time.

I was really here to say that if you have a challenge suggestion then do post it in the suggestions forum and then it will probably get turned into the task for the monthly challenge:

As you are new here I will also just go over the rules in that everyone can enter the silver compass lite or gold compass full challenges. But if you have ever won a gold compass or obtained 3 silver ones then you can only enter the gold challenge. If you are eligible to enter the lite silver challenge then you can enter both of them if you want to. Any map made for the challenges must be new at the start of the time span. You cant enter a previously started or completely finished map for it. We like to see the WIPs (work in progress) so we can see its a new map and also its really interesting to see peoples techniques. We have a marker called the WIP tag which looks like this ### Latest WIP ### which you put next to your latest progress image and the forum picks them up and we have a running gallery of the latest progress to look at which is:

We actually do drawing challenges over at my discord channel, so we've come up with some really fun stuff that maybe I could re-use for maps for us to play with
