Great map & illustrations!
Few months ago I did map of Elder Isles and family tree for Russian edition of Lyoness series by Jack Vance (©Eksmo). The customer had no wishes and I didn't have the cover art from which one could build. For me books by Kelmscott Press or something is best style for this novel, so I tried catch it in some way still playing with my own. As most of my work this was done in Adobe Illustrator, fully vector (except texture added in final stage in different colors so publisher could choose the best when finishing the cover).

The aesthetic is really gritty, but especially clean despite that. Wonderful work!

That's a beautiful map! And I find it really impressive that you did it almost all in vector. The few times I've tried using Illustrator, I go back to Photoshop pretty quickly.
This looks fantastic. Nice work.

Thanks! I really worried about did not make it too gritty in print.
For me Illustrator is awesome for lines, text and patterns, but not so good with multi-shapes maps and textures…
Thank you!
That looks fantastic, and I think it'll look really great in book form.
I really love this style! Any chance of a colored version?
Thank you! I like how it looks in printed book
Publisher choose 3rd color variation (sorry, I did preview with only family tree):

If the publisher had asked for a color map, I would have drawn it in a completely different way
