    Default November/December 2024 Challenge: Speck

    That's a lot of detail on the shape, so I decided to pick a smaller area to work from. Here's the spot I picked:

    Yep, that looks good. Blowing it up showed an interesting shape which I will attribute to the quality of the original artwork:

    Yep, that's something I can work with.

    A little bit of the usual and a bit of toying about with the Render Frame option in Photoshop got to here:

    which we will call good for now because the kids are being kids and tomorrow is a long day. It could use a scale bar and possibly a compass rose, but not today!

    Nice - I really like the roundness of it. Gives me the chills just thinking about the sheer scale of the original.

    Have you thought about doing a regional map within this country ? This part highlighted in the image looks pretty interesting for example.
