The Republic of Renaliac

My first finished map here on the Guild. I'm glad that I got this far after more than two years of occasionally working at it.
The map shows the Republic in the current year of my fantasy world Nerrac. It was done with Gimp.

For the future I'm planning to draw maps for the surrounding countries as well as topic maps for the Republic, e.g. historical maps with the city states of old.

Finally I want to thank all guild members for their support over here in the WIP thread. They were crucial to achieve that level of mapmaking.

Very clean and well put together. I love the rivers & lines of demarcation...they're like veins of energy. LOVE IT.

Hey guys,

after a long break I came back and noticed that I've never posted the update of this map. Since back then I found a way to draw forests that I like. So here's the map with trees.

Haha, that's a long break indeed - only 7 years.

I think you did a great job on the latest map; the forests look really nice. I struggle with them as well. What I really love on this map are the labels though - some of the best I've seen.
