Dessert Island Map - Watercolors - Advice

Hi! im working on a map for a TTRPG setting, and since its my first time working for this company I wanted to maake sure the map looks good.
so left a little my confort zone and created a frame and a compass, but know Im wondering if its too much, or I am missing something important hahaha

I would love yor advice or thoughts!

The map and illustrations are done with watercolor. and then edited and put together in Krita.
the artwork is going to be for daylight publishing.

Oh that is f***ing awesome. I love the candy-ball dragons and the other beasties. I'd be delighted to have this map in my product. I guess the only thing I'd say about the border is that it needs something unifying to tie it all together. Maybe even just a simple red or orange rectangle running behind all the border elements?

edit: I see now you've already done that, but it's a white rectangle. I'd add some subtle color to it to make it more clear that it IS a border.

ohhh Ill keep that in mind yes I used white because I wasnt sure hahaha
ill see how it looks with a color change.
