January/February 2025 Challenge: Nor-Medul revisited

Here's the current progress. It is slow.
I made this rather large and that will bite me in time, but it will be more satisfying in the long run to have the larger version.
This one has so much forest.

I love the quality of the coast line, forests, and mountains. You make them feel so real!

Do you use brushes or are you drawing every stroke by hand?

For example, the way your lineart is so light
I wish you a lot of courage for the forest, as you said, it’s time consuming and this one is gonna be huge ! Lots of different places and biomes….
Seeing you working on this one inspires me for another map that I started, more or less the same size and scale. I put it aside because of the amount of work that it takes, but I hope to find strength to go back to this map and finish it. Your work sure helps

I draw everything. So it takes forever. And I really did not realize how much forest this would turn into.
I keep thinking I am making a bunch of progress, then zoom out and see that there is so much to go.

Hehe. Yeah, I need to much persistence to get these woods done. They are going to be so vast.
It is nice to push myself to complete large areas of this map, just to see it done like this, versus the past style of map.
I've thought a lot about this area of Nhyn, so I'm glad to see it filling out.

I thought this was a ton of progress, but when you see how little of the map it is... it makes me shudder.
Hopefully I can get a lot done this weekend....
