Question Can someone tell me what building this is?

My niece is in europe for 10 weeks. So far she has been in Scotland and England (London) and has taken a boatload of photos.

I saw this one and thought the thing was pretty cool, but she had no idea what building it is from. Was hoping someone could identify it for me.

    Thnaks in advance...

EDIT - It's in london and interesting fact (i think anyway) although it looks round there is only one curved pane of glass on the very top.

Alas, all the glass in the Gherkin was shattered way back in 1995 at Christmas time, but it has been repaired since.* I like the names, the Towering Innuendo and the Crystal Phallus. LOL!

    * Doctor Who joke (the Sycorax ship flew overhead and blew out all the glass in the building - see "The Christmas Invasion").
