Thread: Crypt Contest

  1. #1

    Info Crypt Contest

The new destination for ICE's map contest is crypts. The more macabre the better. So please don't neglect those little decorative touches that would make Dracula and his minions feel welcome.

All entries are due by May 15, Don't forget to read the general submission guidelines http://www.ironcrown.com/index.php?p...ntests/general and please do not forget to include the submission form (downloadable from the above link) with your submission. Multiple submissions are allowed, but each one must be accompanied by a submission form.
    • Submission Format: Like all submissions, the submission must be a PDF file. The actual maps for this contest need to use the same scale as our Battlemaps; 1 inch equals 3 feet (or 1 meter). This will likely mean that larger maps will require multiple pages in the PDF. Each page of the PDF should have a 1 inch margin all the way around, at the very least, to allow for the vagaries of different printers.

    • Contest Winners: Within 2 weeks of the Submission Deadline, ICE will select from 3 to 5 winners. Each winner will receive a $25 - $75 Gift Certificate for ICE's Online Store.

Post 1st map done and more contests!

I've uploaded my Contest Entry to ICE and it posted in the news on the home page... http://www.ironcrown.com so check it out!

I see ICE has a couple other contests going to, more illustration/photo contests, but I thought it was worth mentioning.

The two other contests are related. One is for new fantasy creature and the other is new alien creature. Both, however, point a link to the same site showing how photographers have blended two animal photos into a new composite creature - they look really cool!

    Check it out: http://www.guardian.co.uk/science/ga...ture=345028058

For the more artistically inclined, those look like fun contests too! I might try an attempt myself!

Get to mappin' guys, you can't let me win twice in a row!

You have an interesting definition of 'let'...

'll fire up a new thread in April and get a map together. I have a few ideas already.

I've started working on mine, but it's going to be a slow process...still suffering a bit of 'burn out' from my Feb. Challenge map.

I simply cannot work at this scale...tried many times, always suck. Maybe one day.

Is the 7 way tie for this contest slowing ICE down?
Has anyone heard anything on this yet?

It takes them awhile to update their website sometimes, I check a couple of times each day. I would imagine the announcement will come any day now. *knocks on wood*

    Post Good Luck!

I got my money on Devin's crypt. No way I'd win two in a row, besides there's more going on in Devin's crypt.

But good luck to everyone involved!

I wonder when they'll post/announce the winner(s). Been over a month since the contest ended.
