Interesting! Somewhere ... I think there's a link on this site, someone has done a great job of populations city numbers etc on a spreadsheet. It doesn't cover quite the same ground as yours though.
For lack of a more suitable place to post, I thought Mapping Elements would be a fine place.
Attached is a worksheet I use to plan out my maps. Hope some of you find it helpful. Its an excel 2008 document, so you might need to message me and I'll send you a more compatible version.

I think I saw that post, but I didn't take a look. If I remember correctly, we both reference the same book though - "A Magical Medieval Society: Western Europe". Mine is more of an organizational tool, with a few legacy tools. Thanks for taking a look. I hope you can find a use for it.
I think ravs is referring to the one based on Ghalev's "Medieval Demographics Made Easy." The version of the calculator I've been using is on welshpiper.com. It's at the top of their all time most popular articles.
The original article with links to a few different spreadsheets is http://www.io.com/~sjohn/demog.htm
It's an excellent article, researched from scholarly sources, and he's also peddling a book entitled Fief, which is equally good.

You might want to save that as the older xls format. The xlsx can only be opened by Excel 2008, which many people don't (and/or refuse to) have, like me.
I think XLS is also supported by OpenOffice for those who use it, but I'd hazard a guess that XLSX is not, yet.
Very interesting! Definitely keeps track of many things I wish I'd kept track of at times...but will I be a good boy and use it?
I just searched out the City Population thread for that software and thought I'd repost it here to make things easy: http://www.welshpiper.com/node/66
I've been looking more at your spreadsheet - I really do like it. Thanks!

Just in case. XLS granted!
