I agree that #3 or #4 look the best. (a toss up between the two) I would also recommend blurring the mountain background so that it isn't such a sharp transition.

Not sure I care to much for the 'milli-mountains'
Of the other mountain examples I prefer #2 - thogh a combination of some of the other shapes with that shading would look nice IMNSHO

I like #2. They just seem to have the right colours and look more rugged. I also second the suggestion to blend the background. There's too much contrast with the green.
