    Help Need a Swamp Texture

    Hi folks!

    I'm looking for a good Swampy-Texture right now.

    I got no results searching cgtextures and spiralgraphics.biz does not have a search function it seems.

    Anybody got a good link or texture available?

    Hmm I am pretty sure Genetica Viewer has something that works for a swamp.. Unfortunately, I don't have with me atm. You would have to actually have Genetica Viewer and look through the tiles and then if you find one you like, render it out at the size and resolution you need.

    You can download 256x256 samples of the default tiles directly from their website.

    The link below is directly to the page with the "Lush" samples;

    The General's link will take you to Dodder's Marsh (which is what I used, slightly modified by selecting and deleting the bright colors, then sandwiched between two layers of blue). Also BlackLotus posted a nice "Mossy Ground" texture here http://www.cartographersguild.com/sh...07&postcount=6.

    I went to SpiralCraphics page as per SG's advice. I copied few of the textures and played with them in photoshop (several overlaying textures set to multiply and adjusted exposure and hue/saturation). I'm note sure if this fits to your overall color scheme or your style, but I hope this encourages you to experiment (as nothing is better that a self creted texture).

    There is a new version of the Genetica Viewer (3.0 - Free to download), which also allows you to download all of the latest texture packs.

    The viewer gives you limited ability to render the textures at various sizes and a few parameters for changing the appearance.
