Cool little map...
I put this together at the request of a friend running a MapTools game. I envisioned it as a dungeon built into a sloping hillside of sorts, thus the stairs taking you up into each new room. He only wanted 2 spaces for encounters, the rest was, I suppose, for some RP/Skill challenge stuff, so the library and the living quarters didn't have to be particularly large.
If you drop it into Maptools, Grid square size of 50 is what you're looking for.
I tried out a lot of things working on this map. I did a lot more with layer masks, tried some different things with bump maps and overlays, basically just refined the techniques I'd sort of been haphazardly combining to make maps into something more consistent.
The first has bodies at my friend's request, he loves him some corpses. The second foregoes the mangled deaders. I was going to add more set dressing type stuff, but his intent is to add the finishing touches in MapTools.
Cool little map...

Nice map Alecthar, have some rep. That is a lot of blood in the first map
The sign on the floor in the southern chamber is very well done.

Gandwarf has fallen into shadow...
Quite a nice lil dungeon romp. Good stuff.

In the fantasy universes I play in, all human beings have a gigantic extra-dimensional bucket of blood that spills out when they die.
The sign on the floor came out pretty well, but I can't help but think the outer circle is a bit muddled. That might have to do with the fact that the lettering wasn't exactly huge to begin with, and I had to scale the original image down a bit to make it fit.

They use those in movies as well. I'm wondering if there is some alternate universe that just has buckets of blood laying around ready to be splatted out for such occasions...sort of like the "elemental plane of guts" or something. mmm sausage.
