Welcome to the Guild!
Not really a mapoholic, but after seeing some of the b-e-a-utiful stuff you guys have created, I decided to log in and see what I could learn.
I have a D&D world that I've been running for over ten years and I do have the maps put together but they are simple, and rudamentary. I've decided to put a lot more work into the world and the mapping is the first thing that requires a retouch.
It's a good time for me to start working on these maps because of two reasons. The old world, where all of the previous adventers took place is under siege by demons, (and a necomantic theocratic nation, and dark elves, and thier dwarven counterpart) Ultimately, the good guys loose, and most of the world is left in ruin, with mostly nomads running around attempting to survive. The old previous kingdoms just discovered the 'new world' and have colonies, leaving mankind in the awkward stance of living as nomads or with very limited resources. Dwarves are hiding underground waiting for it to pass, and elves are not quite so lucky, but are finding some ways to survive, but generally in swamps, or other undesired locations.
Anywho... I'm here looking to learn at the feets of the 'masters'.
