I'd make it smaller and put a pond on the other side to sort of balance it out or something. It does look great, though.

    Hokay...

I removed the maze, as SG and GW and my wife were not enthralled by it. I also added a chimney to both houses (of course). The chimney features cowls and flaunching!!! Yeah I didn't know what that was either but I did some research. The flaunching is the beveled concrete form beneath the stack, and the cowl is the cover for the "pot", which is the pipe that channel smoke out. The cowl prevents rain from entering the chimney of course.

I also put more pointless detail behind Leonardo's garish sign.

The chimney is a nice addition. Good call on the maze I think.

I had the girls over this evening so I made some spaghetti and didn't do much to the project, but I did manage to change the water in the fountain and darken the marble up a titch.

I worked up a gradient for a magazine texture and put it on top with a multiply. Thoughts?

    Works for me.

The gradient looks good, though I think it's to dark in the very middle.

I opened several magazines we had laying around the house to compare and even the thickest were never near that dark - a medium gray would probably be enough.

Fixed a minor glitch with the before house, aged the chimney a bit, decreased the intensity of the open magazine effect, and managed to increase the JPG quality a notch for some reason.
