This started as an attempt to emulate the style of the Fable 2 map of Albion. Along the way I added my own style to it and so it ended up as a hybrid. I was about to post this to the Finished section when Sapiento put up a map with the same town brushes that I had so I made my own - can't have two maps with the same towns posted on the same day after allI think I'll do a few more like this to evolve the style a bit and see what happens.

Very nice map, as per usual.
If I had one criticism it would be that the style of the mountains look a little out of place with the rest of the style. They look a little too shiny and digital.
I guess I'm just nitpicking though.

Awesome map. I love the Fable map (had it on my desktop for some time to be inspired by it too, but I think it will be replaced by your mapEspecially color and dark/light balance is amazing!

This map is awesome, I guess I would pick this map over the original Fable II map, even though it's a little different. And I'm kind of curious: how did you make the graphics for towns, cities and towers?

The town icons are a brush set that I have, not sure where I found them, might be here somewhere (mapping elements subforum). The rest I drew (tablet) to be stylistically similar and then put a dull brown in the empty spaces.

Very nice - I like the cast shadows on the town and city symbols - it's a great little touch.
Thought I'd perform a little thread necromancy to ask where you got those amazing textures! I'd love to use them, especially the brown planes and the forest.
