What format is the tutorial? I can probably host it here.
That city map is gorgeous by the way. Love the bright colors, and the map has a very consistent feel to it thats just warm to look at. Nice work again bro!
Hello, friends. I have created a new city map--an evolution of a style I've been developing.
I have also created a tutorial detailing how I created the map. It's a very big file and--because I am not a professional by any means--it's very poor, I'm afraid. But if you feel it could perhaps help you in your endeavors...
EDIT: The tutorial is posted in the "Tutorials/How-To" section of the forum index. Go there & you can download it!
Take care!

I have to say that I really like that style. It gives an organic feel that that is a real place. Do you have a before filters were applied view as well? I would love to see what it looked like to begin with. Oh, it is probably in the tutorial huh?
Thank you for the compliments. Criticisms/suggestions are encouraged as well, as I'm always trying to improve.
The tutorial does indeed include the pre-filtered map, which I imagine would be of many people's liking--especially those that feel the need for photorealistic maps (my least favorite for large scale cartography). I create a map that--up until a mere few steps before the filter process--would need very little tweaking to be less "art" and more verisimilitude.

Thanks again for your input.

Great style and use of color on that map, Pyrandon.
I'm looking forward to seeing the tutorial, and the pre-filtered map.

Give MapForge a try.
Hey, I know this is an odd question to bring this topic up again, but wasn't there a discussion here concerning putting this map of Eneini into a 3D program that was then animated? I was thinking about it today and I can't find it, though I've been all over the forums. Was it lost in some shuffle? Thanks.
