A New Cartographer
Hello, everyone!
I have been a user for a few weeks now, but hadn't gotten around to introducing myself before. I am more of a writer than a cartographer, but I was drawn here because I want to create maps for my worlds. This seems to be a great site with great people, and I am looking forward to being a part of it.
By the way, I really like using this user name, but in conversation, I have gotten used to (and rather enjoy) being called "Goldenrod" or "Golden" - feel free to use either.

I'll try to respond to it, but the "Gold" part of the name is usually the first thing that tells me that you are talking to me. Other than that ease, I have no objection to anything that anyone decides to label me, and your nickname is defiantly more fun than anything else I've heard!
Thanks! I'm sure I'll have lots of fun - it is incredibly satisfying to see a rough sketch transformed into something that could be useful and is certainly beautiful.

I actually think (it's been a while) that it came from the flower. This thread just has created a lot of interesting variations on it.
