Absolutely lovely/beautiful. This is indeed turning into one of the better maps I have seen posted on this forum.

I'm gonna play devil's advocate and say I preferred the greyscale version. Still lovely though.

thanks again guys for c&c. another update. did some labels and more linework. also started to do more detailled color to make structures stand out more (probs need some more) And still struggling with forest. Does not look like much progress but its all details now so progress wont show much. cheers

REP-tastic... I love this! I can only assume you use a tablet for this.. i can't imagine drawing it with a mouse although i suppose it wouldn't be impossible. I really like the waterfalls and the island on that lake.. i want to live right there! Sort of Narnia meets Time Bandits meets Dune meets the Dark Crystal etc... well not really but there are several landmarks that conjure up images of those types of sci-fi & fantasy settings.

hi, my contest map is still failing so I needed a break and did some work on this map. Linework almost done now. Sea-painting needs work still and also not yet happy with the roses (maybe I should drop them?). (@a2area, I use a tablet indeed, but got crazy adapting hand/eye coordination so I diminished my savings to get a Cintiq so I can see my hands while I draw... and oh my, I just love that thing ) cheers

ooh ooh... The right side of the nameplate is just screaming for a dragon or something "sinister" wrapped around the "A".... looks like you already left room for something??

When you say roses do you mean rhumb lines? Those things are pretty random so I think yours look fine.

    Amazing overall.
the only thing I would say about the rhumb lines is that it's odd to see the compass offset from the one it's next to. Other than that I would leave them as is, they look just fine.
