Put@in que c'est beau !
I'd choose a middle ground or maybe adding a dirt color rim to the vivider version like what you can see on the paler version.
This is impressive! I'll definitely use this for improving my work. Great.

I definitely like the top/first color version better. I LOVE the way that city looks. Question: what do the dots in the woodlands in the city inset map represent? Cleared forest or something?
I like the lusher greens of the second version, but the city looks better in red.
I prefer the first version

Thanks Bandersnatch. Good luck with your map. Saw it last week, and it's allready a nice work.
Thanks Thomas. It's really nice to get advice from guilders with such experience.
Thanks Diamond. The dots in the woodlands is the third way i choose to represent forest in this set of map. In 1900 inset city maps, the woodland are currently shown with this kind of dots. For the local regional inset i choose another way with green gradient and finaly only uniform color for the global map.
It was hard to choose between the two version, but i wasn't at ease with the second one. Perhaps more vivid colors for the next map...
Thanks Mouse.
Ok, another update with more work done. I didn't realized how much time it will take me to colorize all the global map...

Next step : labels or relief profile, we will see.
Cheers.
Not sure about the other versions but the last one is pretty good.
Dang man, that is FANTASTIC. I was kind of joking before about maps winning a CC award twice, but now...
So excellent ! I like the whole map, but I love the inset of the city !
