12 rounds....you just rock!
Wow - both the centaur and guy are very cool as always. I like the back stories to all these characters too. I just wanna get playing with them right away.

Location: Witchlight Strand
Race: Elf
Name: Coroth Orlethym
Coroth is one of the many elves of Liaglades whose sole purpose is to protect the fabled city of Laradell from outsiders. All the members of the house of Orlethym serve the same purpose and there are also other houses dedicated to the same duty, but from a different perspective. Orlethym elves are ground-based scouts and trained footsoldiers. Their area of responsibility is modestly the whole Liglades forest itself. Coroth is part of a group of seven blood-bound elven scouts constantly on the move somewhere in the forest. All the members of Coroth's group are related to each other and their bond is further enhanced by a sort of non-verbal communication akin to telepathy that is impossible for outsiders to understand. It is not uncommon for strangers to encounter House Orlethym patrols only to find that they have been quietly and efficiently surrounded.
The scouts have a primary objective to keep the Liaglades forest free from outside influence, but their methods are primarily non-violent unless the situation warrants it. Therefore outsiders are merely gently but sternly escorted out of the Liaglades forest and violent activity comes only after the trespassers have refused to obey the elven patrollers. The elves of Liaglades do not allow even passing trade routes to go thru Liaglades and hence most of the forest remains unpenetrable and hostile to non-elves.
Coroth is an elven male well beyond 300 years (some consider him still to be adolescent) with an experience patrolling the Liaglades passing 100 years. He therefore knows the ins and outs of the forest. On the other hand, his duties has prevented him from travelling outside the forest and like many of his brethren, the only things he knows of the outside world are the stories that more adventuring-oriented elves bring with them.
Coroth was born in the heart of the legendary city of Laradell. He was adopted to House Orlethym at the age of 20 much and his biological parents were proud to see their son enter the Orlethym house. Coroth has focused his training mostly on scouting skills and has not trained combat skill much. His weapon of choice is a long-bladed elven fighting spear and his skills with other weaponry are rather weak - considering his profession, of course. However, it is not uncommon to see Coroth just simply disappear into the woods and moments later realise he and his spear are right behind you. Coroth visited Laradell last year spending a month in the city attending several festivities. He does not have any descendants or a wife waiting for him, but that is a common feature within the tradition of the Orlethym house. Coroth is proud of his ancestry and considers his race and origins to be superior compared to anything else in existence.

Cool - Always love it when an "Inhabitants of the world..." lands in my inbox. Nice character again.
Hey, do you realize that with your centaur model you can now double a few of them up - the ones with legs astride Ok so centaur are not known for their grace at carrying lesser races on their backs but its cool to be able to expand the usage. How easy would it be to do a straight up horse

I enjoy the portraits as much as everyone else, but, imho, it is the descriptive backstory that goes along with them that really seals the deal.
For instance, in the description above--I envisioned the city of Laradell to be sort of a mobile treetop city; it's best defense is that it's never in the same place for any length of time.
12rounds's description of these Guardians of Laradell (for a lack of a more appropriate term) expands perfectly on this theme, as they can act both as scouts and defenders; finding a new location, securing it, and routing would-be intruders around around it, be it by stealth and deception or outright violence, if need be. I'd think these guys would have plenty of practice at being the source of the "things that go bump in the night," convincing people to leave the area and not return without ever making themselves known.
There's great inspiration here, as well as an abundance of artistic talent. Thank you, 12rounds!

Thank you all for your kind words! I really appreciate it.
I've been extremely busy at my work for the last couple of weeks and it's not going to easy up in weeks too. So the frequency of new illustrations is gonna have to bend for now.
Location: Darkovia
Race: Human (undead, vampire)
Name: Lady Ljudmila Vorasena
One of the aides, subordinates or underlings of Casimir Darkov. Lady Vorasena is beautiful, mysterious and rather restrained. Her looks betray her real age and experience because of her vampirism. She is more of the quiet type - you know the kind of type that proves most deadly when the time is right.

Very nice, very nice indeed.
I can just picture her seducing some unsuspecting nobleman and slowly draining him dry.
