The work is beautiful! I'm somewhat divided because I love the darkness in it, especially in the sea (love that tone), but in a way, I feel that somehow the continents should pop out just a little more. Maybe just a very subtle inner glow around the land edges, very, very subtle, almost unnoticable, just to help the shape not getting lost in the sea.
But in general, I love this map.

I definitely don't agree with some of the other comments : it's perfect in the dark, and I admire your delicate lights, as always : something like silver on the labels and your logo. Just perfect !
Thanks a ton, Beee! I'm so glad you like it, it means a lot coming from someone who's work I admire as much as yours!

I have never read the series, but it seems like interesting world to explore.
Thanks, V If you ever get your hands on the books, please give them a try. They are fantastic.

Thanks for the comments! I think this is the problem with digital work, as everyone views the maps on slightly different monitors with different display colors... On mine, the islands seem to rise out of the background just fine, and they actually do have a light inner glow around them, so I certainly did think it was a good idea to have it too! But in the end I guess it is just a matter of taste, I just really like dark colors xD

Funny, I just finished “A Wizard...” for the first time a few days ago. Loved it and love the map!

Wait 'till you reach Tombs of Atuan, I think that is my favorite of the entire series!

Beautiful map, Kellerica (I need to get used to your new name!) You do like the dark colours, but you work them really well.

Unfortunately I've used up by repping powers for today, but I'll try to come back tomorrow.

Wizard of Earthsea is among my favorite books. Been a long time since I read them, I think I will have to indulge again.
    Great map.

    Great map.
It is a good read, as are the rest of the series. I think Tombs of Atuan is my personal favorite, but I also really enjoyed Tehanu and The Other Wind. Great stuff, truly. And thank you, I'm glad you liked the map! I hope I did this realm justice.

I already said it elsewhere, I love the map. A bit dark for my taste but you use those dark tones so well, it doesn't matter. A little bonus, your mountain shading is from another world Kudos ! (and I have to read Tombs of Athuan as I only recently read Wizard of Earthsea)
