Cool my new Background Screen for the Week - inspirational, great job, like the darker one better as well.
Great, great map Arsheesh! Everything is very well done and come together perfectly. Very inspiring work!
And one more vote for the dark version, btw.

Thank you everyone for the helpful feedback. Based on what people have said it is clear that the darker version is better and that the issue must lie with my new computer. I've also tried adjusting the hilights as per J. and Max's suggestion. Here's a look at the darer image and the highlights adjusted version side by side. Not sure which I prefer. Any thoughts?
Darker Version:

Highlights Adjustment:

I'm voting for Highlights Adjustment, the one on the bottom. The top image looks slightly "muddy" by comparison.

Both good, I will pick the highlighted one because if I print it I will have to lighten and highlight it anyway.

This map has turned out fantastic Arsheesh! Loved watching it come together and you really did a great job on rounding it up!
My vote goes to the highlights ajustments!
