Indeed, really great work so far fabio! Love the colors, and the overall "dark" atmosphere. As always, i enjoyed reading the backstory of your map. Keep up the great work!

    Thanks a lot guys!

An update, a small one, but still an update.
    I tried to lessen the “red” around the mountains (as per Lingon remark) I added some missing shadows and some forests and I began to place the cities;
In this regard, I was uncertain and I lost time to decide whether to insert simple points for the cities, to add more detail and information , or to insert icons to give more flavour.
I decided for icons, I don’t know yet if it is the right choice.
I’ll explain icons meaning in a legend, then I’ll try and add a compass and maybe some eye candies, then the most feared part : labeling.

I really like your map. Good job.

My only comment on the icons would be they look too white, so stand out from the rest of map. Any way you could adjust the white to better integrate with the reddish brown colors?

I love the overall feel/scheme of this map and the style of all the natural elements.
The location icons don't really fit yet though - as Savage Orc mentioned with them being too bright, but also I think the lines are too sharp/crisp compared to the rest of your map. Perhaps you could add a touch of blur to soften them?

Looking good Fabio P. I like the warm brown colors. However the white town icons contrast pretty heavily with the rest of the image. I think if you made them a light brownish-grey it would help.

I like the look of this map. I think the finished one will be superb based on what you have here. Great job!

Nice improvements! I agree with the others about the icons. Maybe some shadings would help to anchor them with the rest of the map?

I have to say, I liked the redder tones around the mountains.

    Thank you all guys,
Your comments are always welcome and precious.

Now city icons are less bright; and, well, much of the reddish tone around mountains is gone for good ;-)
I added much more city icons (also towns and fortresses are now in); there are a compass and a couple of petty attempts at sea eye candies.
There are also a legend, a shield and a sort of really short introduction (hope english is ok) to The Union.
I labelled cities and I know for a map to be “super” most things should be labeled … but that’s the worst part for me.

Much better. I think you found just the good way for the cities.
