    Praise

Ach!!!! I can't rep you again so soon!

Anyway, what can I say? Extraordinary! INCREDIBLE DETAIL. I could go on.
You inspire. Well done on this. It is really really a wonderful piece.

If you don't mind me asking, how long did this one take more precisely?

    And congrats on the commission!

    Thanks XCali
I don't remember exactly, but I think it was around a week and a half, maybe 2.
But I was also working on several other maps at the same time.

The amount of details and lines is just as crazy as your work . Just wonderful .

I'd be interested to see the original author's map for comparison.

You know how it is - sometimes the detail just gets out of hand.
    Like your latest challenge map.

I will ask them if it is ok to show that.

Oh ! I remember this head-city from an Instagram shot ! The whole map is astounding and hearing that the foamy background took (only !) half the time baffles me. I would have spent a lot more time than this. The map is very evocative, even with the greyscale and (I already told this so, ignore the echo) I'd be curious to see this in color. I can picture weird color matchings. Thanks for sharing John !

    This looks great John.
I love how you rendered all the details, and the 'fog of war' pattern you used to frame the whole map is particularly intriguing.

    Thanks Thomas
It might see color. The trick is finding extra time these days.

    Thanks Filippo
I'd explain a bit more about the fog, but the author wants to retain the info till he publishes.
