Nice work. Congrats on another successful commission piece.
Now that is just darn cool Coyotemax. Once again, you have left me in awe. Here's a bit of rep.
Cheers,

Wow, how did I miss this? I love that style, Coyote, especially the way you did the cities. Too bad I can't rep you right now. Grrr...
That's a really nice looking map! I really like the woodcut effect.
Thanks everyone This is one of my own favourites so far as well
Incidentally, I got this one printed locally for the client. there was a bit of an oops with the first print, the side borders got cut off a bit and so they redid it but let me keep the messed up one anyhow. it's bloody gorgeous, I'm putting this one up on my wall as a poster I'm so glad I made the decision to do it full out at 300dpi instead of blowing it up some.
the final print run modified the colour a bit, it came out a tad darker with a bit of a greenish grey cast, but that ended up looking rather nice when you step back and look at it from a few feet away.

... and where is the requisite photo?
Sounds like this went really well for you. Congrats.
I second Torstan's thought. You should take a photograph of it hanging on your wall so we can all be jealous

Even better- the client has provided me with a photo of the final framed version just before it went off to the recipient
Booyah!!
Oh, and it's a bit of an angle to overcome the flash glaring off the glass

Cool! Can you post the name of the author and books now? I'm quite curious as to what it is.
Not yet, but it's on it's way. Once I've heard that the author has received, I will update
