The map is really great. Maybe add some blue and white in the sea to put the extra details to use ?

Very nice! The whole map flows really nicely for a CC3 map, I love the green hills and the mountains, they're done very well. The Japanese letters are a great touch.

Thank you everyone. The reason I didn't add too much color to the sea was to actually draw attention to the land, and to fit the style I talked about earlier. But I may have to try it to see if it improves the look of the map.

I like the green, hilly areas a lot and the Japanese buildings and lettering work beautifully. I'm not completely sold on the sea areas. The waves look like Blaeu-style mountains, which I love, but maybe not so much in the ocean! I think they'd benefit from a hint of blue to really sell it. It's a very pretty map overall, though, so nice job!

Thanks Robulous. They are inspirational sayings really (except for the one that says danger), I thought it might be something appropriate for a creator to do considering the map's name

This is copy and pasted from Voolf's comment on the first page but I believe these are the meanings. I used to know but forgot, then I think Voolf looked them up or already knows them (thanks Voolf!)

    清廉 (Seiren) - Purity
    友 (Tomo) - Friend
    喜び (Yorokobi) - Joy
福 (Fuku) - Good fortune, blessing
    美しい (Utsukushii) - Beautiful, lovely
    愛 (Ai) - Love

(These kanji are not used alone, though they still have meanings)
    健 (Ken) - Health, Vigor
    危 (Ki) - Danger
    忠 (Chuu) - Loyalty, devotion
    栄 (Ei) - Glory, prosperity
