We used to have a plugin that did that but it is no longer supported and apparently had some security issues, so I had to remove it. I've not been as faithful to irc as I was when I started it but when I get back to working more on my laptop I probably will. A link would be great. I'll add it to the social media menu I think.

I dropped by the chatroom when this topic was first posted, but there was no-one else there except me. I left it open for an hour or so (I was feeling a bit Billy No-mates) but I had to go out so I closed it and I confess I haven't been in again since.

Adding a link to the menu is a great idea.

Nice. That's a lot easier to access. Hopefully that will get some use.
I will pop in there periodically and chat for sure.
In the bright future... people can open a specific chat session and invite specific people...?

Sorry guys, I would have stuck around to chat but I kept getting booted off as I am at work and my connection here is pretty bad. But I think this is a great idea.

We don't seem to be able to reach a critical mass of users. Someone logs on, no one is active, and they leave or go idle and it keeps repeating with no one ever sticking around long enough to Maybe using something like Slack, Gitter, or Discord that maintains the log of what's happened independently from any particular client or session would work better to get conversations going even if not in real time. Once things get rolling that way we might get enough users active for real time conversations to start.

You seem to be on 24/7 I keep going on, a few times a day, I say hi, no one responds and can't really stay on so I leave. I'll try to stay longer in the future.

You and Robbie are the only ones I have ever seen on, and haven't seen Robbie for a bit, maybe I just log on at all the wrong times...

I'm always in favor of IRC avenues. Used to be an Operator on four different ones before I left those forums for various reasons.

Haven't been on in a while because I used to have unrestricted Internet at work but that is no longer the case sadly. Working on alternatives though
