Cool design, it would be interesting put a watchtower on the north or northeast side.
I did add a watchtower back there. I'll have to upload a new pic.
    Good suggestions joaodefi.

Thank you Arsheesh. Should have a bit more of an update tonight.
Right now, here's an update with the added tower... might be a few other changes in there. I can't recall without going back to the last image.

I'm sketching out the final layout and perspective right now.
Might have something more tonight though.

Here's the basic sketch. I'm still not sure about a few things.
That little inset map up in the corner... still need to do a bit more research on the roof tiles and roof structure before drawing it in fully.
But, I like it. I think it's a good starting point.

I'm really enjoying this map. I can't wait to see the final result.
I know I'm being too nosy, but would be interesting to draw one or two guys in the front view, this would give the exact notion of size in a single look, In the walls or in the port.
Sorry any grammatical error, I'm better with Portuguese than English.

Thanks guys. I lost track of time this week... thought it was Thursday today.
Here's a small update, though I haven't had that much time to work on it this week.
Mainly just doing roofs on the perspective view. Japanese style roofs are quite complicated.
May update later if I get more done.

joaodafi - may throw in a few people later on. We'll see.
[no wip tag as this is so incremental...]

Yes - I find the more elaborate japanese and chinese roofstyles a bit of a nightmare to draw from anything other than a top-down perspective. They look so good though.

Yeah, they are proving to be difficult.
And I had decided on stone for the lower fort walls so now I have tons of stone to draw and shade.
But it's coming along. I'm trying to get the bulk of the top done before jumping into the top down.

PS Larb - I messaged you but haven't heard back - are you wanting the inner walls [building interiors] to show in the top down? or the roofs?
Or some deranged combo of both? Like some sort of semi transparent roofs?
I was waiting to hear back before doing any final line work on the lower part.
