No roofs, too easy...
Obviously I'm joking, this is a stunning piece John! I would have gone crazy..

Fantastic detail! I'm curious how detailed they were on what should be placed and where so that the campaign follows.
Not sure that makes sense. Not a DnD player.
Thank you Dan
Thanks Endi
To answer your question...
They gave me some very basic info and a rough layout. That was pretty much it.
Initially I was not even aware that it was for this Kickstarter. I found that out when I started looking for something online.
I was allowed to take it in the direction I chose and added some names for neighborhoods that they decided to keep.
I only know a small bit about the previous project and such, so I am not sure how well it follows any of the in-game story content.
2C Gaming were very pleased with the result, so I assume that it satisfies their story needs as well as any other purposes.
Maybe they had some looser content guidelines and could make some alterations after the map was produced.
It would be a good question to ask them on their FB page.

This is exactly the kind of thing I need for my new roll20 sessions.
I will have to see what else you have done
Wow, what an image!
Absolutely gorgeous. This should be displayed in a gallery. This makes me want to find out what kind of game it is.
I'll just join the band with my compliment:
This is awesome, jaw dropping material. I see some Guild City influence... (or maybe Guild City confluence)
Hehe, thanks Tom
Well, as I said, it was oddly more time consuming than normal roofs.
I did enjoy working on the style though.
Thanks Wired
Thanks Emil It is for an rpg game, standard pen and paper rpg.
2C Gaming's previous products have been well reviewed.
Thank you Pixie
Haha, yes - Guild City!!! Ironically, there is connection of sorts....
While working on Guild city people were talking more about desert cities and structure and I was thinking that if i had time to do another section, I would do one with terraced roofs and such.
So I was already thinking about doing this sort of thing.
Then I had another commission before this one where the client wanted a similar style city.
That comm hasn't been posted yet but will be soon.
So, ironically, thoughts dealing with Guild City got me ready for these two comms, which is sort of cool.

Gorgeous as always, I'm so jealous of you're skill.
Beautiful job again, some much detail and so consistently applied line work. Thanks for sharing always inspirational.
