Really nice new style - have to say the sepia is my favourite but can definitely see the coloured version working well for board games or other projects with a similar style
Lovely style! The sepia one is definitely my favourite.

Can I ask about your painting process?
Do you paint greyscale and then place colour on top?
I tend to struggle with the colouring stage myself.
Absolutely gorgeous. These maps make me want to visit Peanut Butter, lol.
I love the sense of warmth and playfulness that the colour one gives me, and the fact that they feel so inviting.
That's wonderful! I love the thick black elements, and the humour and playfulness puts a smile on my face. It's delightful!
Unconventional, unorthodox...in short, it's beautiful
Thank you so much for your kind comments ! I didn't expect such excellent feedback on this first map, it's very promising ! I'm glad I managed to convey this sense of fun and playfullness... I guess it's probably because I also had a lot of fun while working on it.

My painting process changed a lot with time, but you are right. These three versions are more or less the three steps I go through, but it's not static. I usually go back and forth between each step, fixing the line art here, the color there. I improvise a lot along the way.Originally Posted by TimetoDraw
A real success, Marc ! It's not that easy to create maps working in color and greyscale and black/white. This new style fits perfectly your natural one, and I'm eager to see more of it !
Thank you very much Beee !
This is exactly the kind of balance I'm trying to achieve.
In a way, I guess I have to stop struggling against my natural style and embrace its occasional "whackiness" ...
lol I LOVE "Lake with a rock"!!! Made me smile my butt off.
