My tutorials: Textured forests in GIMP, Hand-Drawn Mapping for the Artistically Challenged
That was awesome. There are some absolutely great maps there. Well done.
Well I limited myself to five votes and it turned out to be exceptionally difficult to choose between them. My top three picks were Earth Reboot, New Eden by Ilanthar, Beauty and the Beast Village by MisyBee and Gaxmoor of Skelkor by Naima. However there were so may runners up that only selecting two from among them was a real challenge. I can't remember the last time I saw a challenge with so many high quality entries, almost any of which challenge winner material. Well done everyone! I have used up my rep power for the day apparently but I'll be back when my wand is recharged.
Cheers,

Sooo many great maps! Wow! I eventually managed to limit myself to 8 votes.
Amazing work, everyone! I hate hate HATE that I didn't have the time to finish mine, but my hat is tipped to all of you who did. Voting was extremely tough, I seem to be one of the few who did limit herself to my usual 3 votes... It's been an amazing one, I wish I could have been more involved...
I still go by the old rule of 1 vote per 5 (rounded up), so I had 7 votes to spread around, and I was still resorting to some pretty arbitrary methods to pare down the list. There were a lot of great entries.
This challenge is like voting for the Atlas Awards ... so many great maps!
Sorry about forgetting the thumbnail pic link; it's there now.
